CLIMATE CHANGE: ADAPTATION AND MITIGATION SOLUTIONS

Master overview
The Master is designed for post-graduates and professionals who want to gain a comprehensive understanding of the climate change impact and the current and breakthrough technologies that will shape the mitigation and adaptation responses to global warming.
The first part of the programme (January-July) consists of 4 modules (tot. 430 h): Introduction to Climate Change, Mitigation Solutions, Adaptation Solutions and Corporate Approaches to Climate Change. Courses will be held by international scientists and high-level lecturers from the private sector.
During the second part (September-November), the Master students will have the opportunity of a 500 hours internship in the innovation and sustainability areas of outstanding companies.
Career opportunities
This Master programme helps students and professionals to enter a new and fast growing job market offering them a specialized training suitable for executive positions as climate-change specialists in the innovation and sustainability departments of companies and international organizations. These include companies dealing with: infrastructure-resilience and energy transition issues, urban planning and development, insurance and finance, research and development of innovative environmental technologies, certification companies, academic and/or research institutes, government agencies, international organisations, and NGOs.
Eligibility
The Master targets post-graduates with a technical background (Master’s degree in agricultural science, architecture, biology, chemistry, geoscience, geography, engineering, environmental economics, or physics). Fee waivers are available for the most creditable students.
Corporate and Scientific Partners
A strong corporate partnership has been established through the involvement of a number of relevant companies as EY, ENI, Ferrero, Lavazza, RINA consulting, SMAT, TERNA and ENEL and scientific partners as ENEL Foundation and Elis.
